Where is the hotel?

i stayed at home on the fourth of july

my last night in town for 4 nights. wouldn't it be great if every tour was this long, just 4 days away from home? so kime and cynthia showed up at my place after the dinosaur jr show. well, they didn't go. they went somewhere where they got lit up. and they showed up, a little out of the blue, at my place at 1:45 AM.

cynthia brought her homemade mexican hot chocolate cupcakes with tequila frosting. amazing. and bite size. i can't remember what we talked about but i had to go to sleep for a 10 am flight to sf. and that's where i am now. 2 days into a 4 day tour with a day off staring me in the face. well, 1/2 a day. i gotta fly from sf to seattle first. a short flight can easily feel like a full day of work. then who knows?

oh! and i have already rearranged my apartment. i turned the bed 90º. each way has their pros and cons. i can't decided.

scout came by to check it out with his freshly lifted face and inverted eyelashes. he doesn't care how the bed goes. all he wants to do is go outside and chase the creatures in the dark.

labor day? hardly. i hate three day weekends. sorry if you live for them. but they mean nothing to me. rather it just adds another day onto the weekend. another day to feel weird because i am not being entirely social. that's not to say that i am feeling bad or anything. on the contrary. but i would rather have things stay normal. three day weekends upset the balance and since i am a freelancer or rather i work 6 months at a time. then have six months off, i could care less. all that said. i had a good weekend.

i am slowly unpacking. what's the rush? i bought a bed.

and we shot guns. kime, justin, cynthia and i said fuck the heat. i've seen three movies in the past 3 days. no more movies. today we decided to go the Los Angeles Gun Club and shoot 9mm's.

for $20 a piece we got to shoot 100 rounds in the AC. and stress relief to boot! cheaper than a therapist. more practical too.

30 seconds of instructions, a thumb print, a declaration that you aren't crazy or a drug addict and a signature and you're sent away to your lane with a friendly "have fun!".

i don't think she did either. here she is after her first shot. i thought she was gonna cry. and who can blame her. we were shooting firearms for a REASON! and it's a lot of power and noise and adrenalin.

but she didn't cry. she fired more bullets at the paper target and reveled in her head shot.

yes! i finally broke out some cut off's just in time for the shooting range. i made the girls wear close toed shoes and i made some cut off's. and we fired guns.

this guy deserved some more action. we didn't like the look on his face.
