« oh hai | Main | i hate the feeling when you're looking at me that way »

January 30, 2008

iggy's got nothing on me

i am not sure which of the following videos was the bigger waste of my time today.  and today, as i will post a little later on was full of youtube.  however, these two were by far thee biggest wastes of time. not surprisingly, the video with britt daniel is more boring than the (very) aptly titled "worst comedian ever".

they have tacos, enchiladas, and chicken fried steak and steak and tacos and ecnhiladas and chicken fried steak and steak and tacos and enchiladas and chicken fried steak and steak.  oh man. it's 9 pm.

at least i took a walk.  at least i took a walk. oh and cleaned the kitchen.  what a waste of my life.

(comedian link sent by doppel-bro/fellow tour manager, brad truax. brad and i are often publicly confused for one another. not a month goes by that i do not receive a text or email that says something along the lines of "dude!  just saw you going into the subway (or something)!  why didn't you tell me you were in nyc?!".  as a matter of fact just 4 days ago at the smell here in LA during an Abe Vigoda show i was approached by a girl saying "brad! brad!" and i said "nope. but i know him." she did too. anyway... that's why he's called a doppel-bro)

while we are discussing boredom or wastes of time.... i also came across this today:

"I think vinyl sounds better," said DeCicca, an employee at Used Kids Records who shares a home with thousands of 12-inch records.

    "It's warmer. It's not as harsh-sounding as a CD."

that was in the columbus dispatch in this article about columbus indie band, the black swans.  all i have to say is dude. no shit. everyone knows that!  even my mom probably knows that.  she probably does not care. but i think that my mom knows that 75%, nay! dare i say 100%?  of indie rockers think that "vinyl sounds better."

mom did you know that?  (say yes).

Comments

Ever the most obedient Mom, I say a resounding "YES"! Too bad they ever did away with the drop down stereo turntables. Put several records on the spindle and let it play on and on as each record drops down. What was wrong with that may I ask?

Since I never got an answer to my stereo question yet, I will ask another. What/who is the Abe Vigoda........I clicked in expecting to see the older comedian and lo and behold.....looked like a young band. And another thing, who sings that song advertising the new, thin laptop?
