i don't think it's a big secret or anything but i'll admit it.
i love the internet. 
here's the 4 best things on the internet:

1.) google maps.  street view pretty much sums it up. satellite view? this is an invaluable tool for me and my job.  for example, on the last dino tour i would often use the sat view first thing in the morning. i would wake up and look out the window. then i would go on google maps and figure out just how far from the club carl the dipshit bus driver had parked the bus.  and now you can edit the addresses on google maps to make it even more accurate. i would probably marry google.  here's a good* example.

2.) you can TRACK PACKAGES!  i love this.  not cause i care if the fed ex i sent really got where it was going. i just like to see all the places it's been.  i mean i guess i care that it arrived but i love to watch it's progress.  i found a 2 month old fed ex way bill in my pocket today. it was something i sent to sub pop. so, because i was bored, i tracked it.
look who signed for it!  yes.

3.) IM.  IM'ing has really started taking up a lot of my time.

 

4.) LOL Cats  also, LOLsheviks but mainly icanhascheezburger. i think that pretty much everyday I IM (!) Shayla and say something along the lines of "dude!  have you seen ican?  so good. better than ever"

remember that bus driver i mentioned a few times last month.  the bane of my existence?

i was just thinking about that guy. maybe cause brokeback mountain is on the tv and he kind of talked at little like heath ledger mixed with a little Carl from sling blade.  which is why larry and I started calling him Carl.  and eventually most people called him carl and i do think that soon we forgot his real name.  I can't even recall it now.  oh. it was jeff baker i see, by looking at my phone.  that was the second time larry and i successfully changed someone's name without that person knowing.  the first time was last year on the twilight singers tour when we changed bobby macintyre to "the douche".  within 5 weeks everyone was calling him the douche.  even people that weren't on tour with us! 

anyway... a bus driver has basically like 3 jobs. and they get paid $225/day to do them (unless they drive more than 450 miles when they get another $225 and then they get another $225 every 150 miles after 600, basically they make bank)
here are their duties:
1.) drive the bus safely
2.) park the bus in the appropriate spot
3.) clean the inside of the bus (ie, take out the trash and vacuum it)

Carl did none of these things.  he sped and drove on the rumble strips . he only parked in the correct space like once every 3 gigs. and dude NEVER took out the trash.  i hated him. 
oh. and he tried to steal like $150 dollars from me. but i busted him.

2007/2008

i went to cleveland.
i got sick there.  there really isn't a better place to get sick than home with your mom. except when your mom get's sick too. 

star wars and hot chocolate.  i suffered through the mucus and it was a total party.

on the way home my flight to chicago en route to LA was cancelled.  instead of leaving the next morning at 6 AM. i opted to go CLE(veland) to LG(uardi)A, cab to JFK(ennedy) and a bump up to business class for a non-stop to LAX.  my bag went CLE to D(allas)FW to LAX.  it beat me to LA. so when i landed i walked off the plane, saw my bag sitting by the baggage office, grabbed it, called the VIP car park, they brought my car around and i was actually in my car before others on my flight had even gotten their bags.

then my VIP weekend continued at  Cut, the 5 star restaurant at the beverly regent hotel in beverly hills.  jen a and i were treated by jay strauss.  we ate with george drakoulias.  it was fun. no pics.  they said dressy attire. so i wore my pink high tops and a sepultura t-shirt.

and then it was NYE.  which as we all know is an accident waiting to happen and since i had gotten jen a. mucus-y and had partied so hard in OhiO, we went to a movie.  then we went to anh do's nye party.... i opted out of a repeat of  greg's cringe fest,  which was expected to be a repeat of last year.

anh's was perfect.  mellow with just the right amount of friends i rarely see.  high point: tiffany anders, and yao sisters!

and that's it it's 2008.  not much has changed. i still worship rollins. maybe this year i will get a new job. i have one lead.
but i am looking forward to taiwan and singapore.  it's nice to get my never before visited places out of the way by february.
